All these pictures were taken in the space of a few hours on 21st November 2003. I arrived at Terezin shortly after dawn with very little film, and left as the light began to fail in the afternoon. I knew nothing about the place before I arrived and had no idea it would be so photographically interesting and historically compelling.
My timing was fortunate. The authorities were still clearing up after the disastrous floods of 2002 and its effects add drama to many of the pictures.
There is a slideshow using some of the pictures from Theresienstadt. It's saved as a QuickTime movie (3.49min, with soundtrack).
There's a Blurb book available of this story, and you can read the text of the book here.
